The Vicari family traces its roots in the Morro d’Alba region of the Marche back to the 15th century. Today, the vineyards and winery include the site of the old town well “il pozzo buono”. Vicari Vini is entirely family owned ad operated. Nazzareno, the current patriarch, bottled his first vintage of Verdicchio in 1990. Nazzareno continues to manage the vineyards and production, daughter Valentina manages the marketing and commercial operations while son Vico is the winemaker.

Fermentation and Vinification of the Verdicchio: After soft pressing, the juice is aged off the skins at a low controlled temperature and spends further time on the lees prior to bottling.
Fermentation and Vinification of the Rosso Piceno: The juice maintains long contact with the skins at a controlled temperature. The wine is aged for 12 months in stainless steel and a further 2 months in bottle prior to release.
