The 5th generation of the Scotto family produces red and white varieties along the Maremma coast between Talamone and Grosseto. Their first vineyards were planted on Monte Argentario in 1886 and the family has continuously increased and improved its vineyards over the succeeding generations. As with many historic family producers, finished wine and grapes were sold in bulk to restaurants and bars or at market until the 4th generation established a winery and the family began bottling and selling their own wines.
