In 1968, eighty-three small producers came together to form the Cantina di Custoza. Located in Sommacampagna in the Veneto region, the Cantina produced its first vintage in 1971 and has since grown to 200 members.  Each year at harvest the fruit is selected and graded for quality and members are paid accordingly, creating a strong incentive to maintain high standards of production.
